What is the largest disc harrow.. box blade would you use with this tractor? thanks

6' max, on my opinion. Would consider 5'.

My dad has a 6 1/2 foot disc he dont use. His tractor has outgrown his implements. He was wanting me to take it if I bought a tractor. Still up in the air on a tractor.

6.5 foot disk would work, if it bogs you down you just have to adjust your cutting angle and or take a shallower cut and do more passes.
The soil type and moisture come into play as well as how aggressive an angle you have the gangs set to cut.

To many variables to give you an accurate short answer. Are your tires loaded? R4s or AGs? Is your tractor gear or HST? That extra weight will allow you to pull wider and or through tougher conditions. With filled AGs even better. Best to at least let us know what you have to pull the disk with, not just a 3038e.

6' to answer your question, which 6 footer is up in the air without more info. Most likely something in the 66" range is what would be best, but only a guess.

As I said earlier I am up in the air on the tractor. I dont have one. It is one I was considering. Just seems like alot of horsepower for a small tractor. Read alot of reviews that it has to much power for not enough tractor weight. Im need to make my mind up tho...still may get the LS 4046 HST. I really like that tractor for what it has to offer for the price.

Brian, I like your site and your product. Would like to do the two function rear if I get the LS. That is cool. Because I have used a box blade and had to get back on and off till I was blue in the face.

Thanks, $715 + shipping for the LS "T&T" set. I think that the LS is quite a bit more tractor than the 3038e, but the JD would be a pulling machine with loaded tires of either type. We can do a "T&T" set for the JD also, just need to get the aux rear remote valves, about a grand from JD which isn't all that bad really.
