I've owned, broken, repaired, abused and generally worked my XR3037HC for the last, say, 6 months.....and absolutely love it. Given the owner learning curve and time frame, I'd say that for the money there's not a better tractor to be bought on the market today. Item for item and bang for the buck I found that LS tractors out distance the pack of variants available on the market today. I compared Kubota, Deere, Kioti, New Holland and Mahindra only to find that, for the money, LS had them beat. That does not mean that LS is the best for each and every work application, however. Further, dealer proximity, speed in turn around and customer overall satisfaction has a lot to do with. Also, try to keep in mind that perfection is something that occurs in story books and fairy tales. Yeah, I've got a drip of water that comes in from the top of the windshield and, Yeah, one of the blades in the overhead louvers for the a/c got popped out when I hit a bump while in motion. And, Yeah, I wish that I had a porter to wash and vacuum the cab after each use but other than the owner shortcoming whines. It's a great tractor worthy of it's spot in the barn.
I've only had mine for a month or so, have 80 hrs. I've really busted this machines butt, clearing a field, regrading the entire property around the house to change rain run off, ripped off the HST filter, gotten the thing hung on a stump locking up the HST controls with the top of the stump requiring a neighbors D6 Dozer to lift it so I could saw the stump out. I too have a drip from the glass at the top and bottom section joint rubber, snapped off one front work light..... more to come I'm sure
I gave 30k for mine with a backhoe. I think I got an average deal.
Due to issues with the dealer I purchased it from, LS stepped up and found me another dealer, further away that has been very welcoming so far and has agreed to transport it to them and back no charge should it have to go back in. I really doubt it will because I can do anything to it that comes up. LS rep says if there are any recall or serious warranty issues that I can take care of them myself if I am comfortable with it, or I can send it in, my choice.
I still don't have my Blue hat though.
