3032E Oil Cooler

Noticed today a film of oil on the 'canister' on the left side of the tractor directly behind the FWD controls. The canister (looks like a spin on oil filter, but is painted black with no part numbers or logo) seems to be bolted to the xmission with a single line leading to or from the oil cooler in front of the radiator. It is NOT the hydraulic oil filter, which I've found. What I'm looking at is above and behind that filter, actually above the level of the floor board. I've searched the parts manual, operator manual and search topics of this forum with no results.
Can anyone shed some light on what this is, where the oil may be coming from and how to stop it?
Tractor only has 36 hours.

With 36 hours on it I would be asking the dealer this question!

That is a second transmission/hydraulic filter. Did you try to tighten it? I don't see the oil film in the picture. There is a gasket between the filter base and the transmission housing. Maybe the gasket is leaking or the filter could be defective. Try cleaning it perfectly dry and then run it a while and keep an eye on it to see where the oil starts coming out.

Thanks for the info. I had wiped it clean prior to the picture to see if I could spot any obvious leaks. I'll keep an eye on it and call the dealer if necessary, now that I know what to call it. Wonder why it's not listed in the parts manual. Must never need replacing?
