3032 E Extended Warranty Yay or Nay

The Consumer Guide folks have done extensive research on purchased warranties. For cars, trucks, appliances and electronics, they say the warranties never pay, and advise against them. They find the buyer averages less maintenance than the cost of the warranty - and, since dealers push them hard, so do dealers. I would think the same logic would apply to tractors. I did not buy it for my 3038e

If you think about it, it wouldn't make sense unless you have the lemon. Why would the manufacture and dealer sell them if they weren't great money makers? The sales people make good money at time of sale. I pass.

This is interesting to me because I was not offered an extended warranty at the time I purchased my 3038e. I no intent on buying one. That makes me feel even better about the salesman I worked with.

My 3032E is 3 years old with about 330 hrs. on it
I was having the tach starting to stick at about 180 hrs
told dealer and they replaced the whole console for free after it had over 300 hrs. on it

really too little to go wrong on them

I was offered but salesman never push and even commented on not getting it
so I didn't

put your money in you're pocket and go buy an extra implement

I agree. Dont buy extended warranty. I recently purchased a tablet at Best Buy which was painful enough. The sales guy told me it would be a very bad decision to not get the extended warranty for hundreds of dollars. Some people must buy these warranties but I could never see it paying off.

Reminds me of the undercoating option for cars that the dealers used to try and sell.
