Was working on repairing the driveway with a Ratchet Rake, doing a lot of shuttling -- usually backing up in 1st Lo, going forward in 4th Lo.

Went to shift into 4th and now it's stuck in Neutral.

It's in neutral since I can roll the tractor back by hand easily. The Hi-Low moves freely. The 4wd on/off moves freely.

Dealer closed on Sundays. (Almost thinking I may drive out to see if his lot is open so I can look at another transmission if any are similar).

I'm suspicious "A" is supposed to line up with "B" but I'm not positive, and that I have to get a wrench onto A to pull it back to let it pop into B. But I'm kind of hesitant to try without running it by folks.

Any advice?

Yep...ran to the dealer, found another tractor with the same transmission so I knew for sure how it worked.

Put an adjustable wrench on the bottom linkage to the transmission, and popped everything back into place so A lined up with B and life was good again :)

About once a year we get a new post like this, and it is always what you described. Good for you to figure it out, and by reading this others will have a heads-up.

Mahindra.

Gave me the most bang-for-the-buck so I didn't look at many others seriously.

I did sit in an equivalent Deere afterwards, and was surprised mine was more comfortable for me.

Did sit on a couple Massey Fergusons before I bought...found their "Economy" line was about the same...liked their "Premium" line better, but I couldn't have afforded as much even in the Economy line. Might've been able to negotiate them closer on price to the Mahindra, but I don't like dickering.

No Kubota or New Holland in my immediate area (more like 30+ minutes away), so they weren't on my list both for price and accessibility.

130 machine hours on it, which is calibrated to 2500rpm...so a lot more seat time than the hours would indicate since I'm seldom up in that range. Even doing backhoe work I usually run at 1700rpm. Anyway, so far very happy and this was the first real "WTF?" I've had.

Oh, and the oil is a pain to check -- either it was designed for someone Japanese sized (Mitsubishi built it), or for not having a loader mounted, or both.
