I wouldn't skip the fuel filter swap on the BX models - and be sure to get both of them 
Fuels may be cleaner but there are still contaminants that can get in there from the fuel can, and atmosphere. Fuel tank cap vents are pretty well designed but both moisture and dust can get in there over time as the fuel tank calls for air.
