3000 Charge Pump??

Does anyone have an instructions on replacing a 3000 charge pump? Do I just unbolt it and bolt the new one on? I also read something about purging the hydraulics, how is this done?

My 3184 has been making some strange noise since I got it from the hydraulics. It is so bad sometimes I can feel in in the steering wheel. I have narrowed the noise down to either the charge pump or the part the drive shaft bolts too on the transmission. Anyone every heard of this? I have replaced the fluid and filter, and that did not help at all.

I recently replaced the charge pump on my 3186. It just unbolted and the new one went right in place. I started it back up and didnt need to purge the lines. The whole process took about an hour. Some people have done it through the sea opening but I took the fender assembly off to see and clean everything better.
