branson 6530
Hi
I would like to know if any did it and what parts are needed.
I got a versatech 66" grapple and would like to connect it properly.
And before someone tell me that 65hp is a bit to much for that grapple don't worry I have two welders cutting torch and plenty of blades for my grinder.

The dealer told that branson made a kit for a 3rd function but it's 850$ ouch !
That's a bit too much. Does anyone ever installed one of these kit and what are the parts included in the kit?
Is it worth 850$?

The WR Long kits sell for $600 to $700 or so depending on the machine, so $850 is not out-of-line for a OEM solution. You can try to call WR Long and see what they have to offer.

I did some research, tell me if I am wrong:

1- I don't need the power beyond. I can remove the hose from the T outlet on the valve put a new hose from the T outlet to the solenoid subplate on the P inlet.

2- Then connect the first hose that I have disconnected and connect it to the subplate T outlet.

I just need the put same size hose between the two valve as the other hose on the system.

Parts to be used :

1-

2-http://www.princessauto.com/power-transmission/hydraulics/valves/cetop/8163453-single-d03-valve-subplate

3- Hoses and fitting
4- wiring and switch for my fel handle

What FEL valve do you have now? Have you checked the tank outlet pressure rating on the FEL valve? It is probably not more that 500 psi.

Why not use the PB outlet? Add the sub plate and solenoid in series with the other valves.

Keep in mind, that the FEL valve will have priority.

There is no power beyond install on it. I would need to put one on.
I know where to put it on the fel valve but where do I connect it on the tractor?

If the fel valve output is only 500 psi wouldn't that only slow down the grapple speed?

It is not that the output rating is maybe 500 psi on the out port. Some valves have a high pressure on the in and the OUT port for downstream operations. If your valve has the PB outlet, then install the PB fitting and then the other valves you want. The PB port is capable of the high pressure. Path of the fluid should be pump, FEL valve, from PB port to sub plate, remotes, 3pt, tank.

In this pic I have identify the P the T and what I think shoud be the PB.
A- is PB
B- is P
and C- is T

In the second pic it is the rear valves.

F- connect to the hydraulic case assembly with a banjo fitting
E- connect to the hydraulic case assembly with a banjo fitting beside one that
goes to the fel valve, the P port
D- looks like its coming from the fel T port

So question is what is F for?
Would that be PB only connected to the rear?

Both E, and F, are the two remotes, supply and return for any hyd attachments.

Then what is the use of D coming from the fel valve? And if the PB from the solenoid has to go to the remote then I would have to tee it off witch one?

Does your FEL not feed the rear remotes through the PB port. The fluid path should be something like this, Pump, FEL, rear remote, 3pt, tank. The PRV in the FEL protects everything in the series circuit. If you plug in a log splitter, it will have it's own relief.

You don't tee anything, all valves go in series.

On the sub-plates, I haven't been able to find out the tank outlet max pressure . It could be equal to the pressure rating, 3000 to 5000 psi.

If your remote valve has a PB outlet, it should go to the next valve.

I found a information saying that I could put the PB on A to the subplate and then back on the plug on the front beside B, could that make sense?

When I talked about A and the B it's from my pictures from before.

I am sorry for any confusing, but there are standards for the ports on a hyd valve. We need to talk the same language.

Just for the sake of clarity, can you outline the hyd fluid path from pump to tank, using all valves in series, using standard symbols for Pressure=P, Tank=T, Power Beyond=PB, etc?

OK I modified the picture.

The P comes from a banjo fitting on the rear axle.
The T goes to the rear remote valves.
The PB is not used yet.
And their is a spare port on the P side.

On the remote:
The P on the remote comes from a banjo fitting beside the one from the fel line
The T goes in the rear axle with a banjo fitting .
The T2 comes from the T of the front fel valves.

I found on a hydraulic web site information saying that I could supply the
3rd function from the PB to the P of the subplate then from the T of the subplate to the spare port ( P2) of the fel valve. Can that be done ?
If yes or no, what would be the results?

For the sub plate rating I called it is 5000 psi.

As long as there is a complete circuit and all valves are in series, and tank hoses go to tank.

Actually the T on my fel valve doesn't go to tank but to remote.
