I think this might work

Now some grinding and paint

A good start. Best to complete the box tho - by closing the "c" with a plate from the main box tube out to near the pin. Open sections twist rather easily.

Just curious if youve got a thought on how to keep it from rising up? On the one I made, I use a chain that attaches to the lower fixed draw bar, and have a grab hook welded to the 'attachment' so its adjustatble. Then when I set the hight of the hitch U put the chain over the grab hook and ever so slightly raise the hitch to put tension onto the chain. It makes for a sturdy hitch. Other wise the attachment can raise up at will.
BTW Great looking job

Nice build, I built something very similar, hooks and hitch, comes in VERY handy.

Had someone else tell me to run a brace from the top by the gooseneck hitch to where the it connected to the bottom links? Thoughts

I added some angle braces to mine. Does it really need it?? Don't know, but it surely can't hurt!

Well I was able to try it this weekend. Worked pretty darn good for moving a pretty big log.
