3-pt hitch

Just finished my 3 point hitch with the square adapter - saw something similar on the internet for 150 $ part cost me 50 + i got back in to welding which i have not done in about 15 years big difference with those new welding machines gas, wire feed etc.. first few beads were horrible but it got a little better towards the end , here is a finished project

Nice looking unit, making one of these was my first welding project. Is the upright welded all the way around ?

Thanks -Yes it is welded all around from the inside- next project will be a cary basket for tools that will connect to 2x2 sq on the top

One of those should come with every new tractor; mine is installed 95% of the time.
The vertical tube - I think it is open on top? Did you leave a drain hole out the bottom?

Here is the one I built. I really like the grab hook. Another feature I keep meaning to add is two light hooks (1/2" round bar) pointing up to allow me to hang a length of chain. Mine has a 1 x 2 inch drain hole on the tractor side.

Hey well no I have to drill small drain hole in it top is open to accept future tool basket, I agree with you that this should be sold with the tractor as a standard equipment
I also want to add couple of hooks
