Other than filling the rear tires or building a homemade 3 point hitch weight , does anyone have suggestions on a simple 3pt. attachment to add extra weight to the rear of my tractor ? I've seen plenty of homemade things like concrete filled barrels etc.. I just want something to buy to hook on for extra weight that's easy to attach. Thanks for the help anyone.

I have no idea what you will be doing with your Massey. I have several implements that serve double duty - Rhino 950 rear blade @ 1035 pounds - Land Pride GS2584(LPGS) @ 796 pounds - Bush Hog roll over box blade(ROBB) @ 710 pounds. I guess I could also say my Wallenstein BX62S chipper @ 770 pounds - although I've never considered using the chipper as extra rear weight.

I NEVER use my tractor without something hanging on the 3-point. Its alway the Rhino rear blade when I'm using the FEL with either the bucket or grapple.

Added note - my rear tires are filled with Rimguard, also, @ 750 pound per tire.

Do you weld, and do you have access to scrap steel? If so, you can glue together a steel box and fill it with concrete, sand, gravel or whatever you have.

Hooking a 3-point item is all about the same, doesn't matter if you buy it or make it. It is a 3-5 minute task, so the "easy to attach" part of your statement is fairly irrelevant. It's all the same.

I use loaded tires combined with whatever I need or last left on the rear... backhoe, grader blade or box blade. I have never tried just loaded tires.

A carryall, but you'll have to build something on it to allow you to carry something in it. It won't stick out as far as a bush hog.

Titan weight box is the lowest cost, ready-made, single purpose option.

I concur with OOSIK that an implement mounted on the Three Point Hitch is the best additional weight.

My rear tires are filled only with air. The three implements I use for ballast most are a Cultipacker/600 pounds, Rollover Box Blade/700 pounds and TR3 Rake/ 800 pounds.

I have kept my hoe installed for ballast but I'm going to build a dumping carryall box that will have a 4" concrete "floor" on it to provide about 800' of ballast hanging on my TPH. It will be essentially like the Titan box but larger and like this. It will give me the weight I need and won't be anything close to as "out there" as my backhoe is and will give me a lot of hauling ability and places to put stuff when working away from the barn.

Kind of like this. Of course, one needs to be able to fabricate to use it but it will be as easy to mount as any TPH implement and will be exceedingly useful for my purposes anyway. Just hanging weight on the TPH does the job but serves no other purpose - this will serve many.

I don't know why it won't let me post my photo properly nor why it names it the old name "clamp on" but that is a pic of the box similar to what I will be building.

I do have a Brush hog and Tiller.. I could use the tiller for the extra weight if I needed to, but may want to consider that Titan ballast box..It does have a couple slots for shovel, pry bar etc..which is kind of handy.. Thanks everyone for the input..

I think my point is - if you hang something out back - find or make something that will have multiple uses. I LIKE the projects I've seen on TBN for ballast boxes that will have the weight but also carry multiple tools - hoes, shovels, pry bars, chain saws, etc, etc.

If you burn wood - a 3-point wood transport box would be nice.
