Hi everyone,
I am new to the forum. This is my first post although I have been reading here and learning about tractors for some time.
We are starting a vineyard in western Maryland. We will for now be using a JD 790, about 30hp. Our first planting is going to be 2000 plants on 1 acre. We also have 100 8 year old peach trees. Both the trees and the vines need to be sprayed about 8 to 12 times per season.
Experienced vineyard guys recommend a Cima, an Italian sprayer, and i am looking at the P45/100 which holds about 100 Gal. If it gets too heavy for the JD790, I will fill it to 50 Gal.
This Cima unit is very expensive, about $10k, and my questions are: is it worth it? and is there an alternative make?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
