Just wondering if anybody is using a quick hitch or Pats system on their BX and if so, how far does it push implements back from the original point of attachment?

I to have used the Pats on a BX, B and L. They (Pats) were a problem for me because they pushed the implements back the 4"s. Required me to get a different upper arm ($20 TSC) and made the drive shaft to short on my tiller. No big issue other than the cheap upper arm for implements without drive shafts but can be a bigger problem (expense) for implements with drive shafts.
I sold/traded my Pats to Milkman a few years ago and he knew what they were and I guess he's satisfied with them, he hasn't called back wanting his plow or money back.:D
I now have Quick Hitches I bought off of Ebay for under $100 per set. One set just slides over the arm and a round pin goes thru them and the arm to hold them on. Pats takes time to install and remove but are more secure. The other set hooks on the same way but they sit on the arm with the connection slot facing up or down and not extended to the back which causes the extended distance. This is my most used set. One problem with them is they move a little bit (Pats doesn't) which caused a bit of a problem with my tiller drive shaft by letting it move enough to break the retaining clip that holds the drive shaft on. Currently have my tiller installed with no QHs.
QHs are great for someone operating alone which I learned years ago when I bought my first tractor and started buying implements for it and hooking them up (alone).
I see you have a BX2230, doesn't it have the extendable 3ph arms? That is the best solution for the 3ph but very expensive if it doesn't come with the tractor.

I have Pat's quick hitches and wouldn't be without them. I purchased my implements with shafts after I installed the system, so the drive shafts were cut with the extra length in mind. I also had a new top link prior to the purchase (replaced due to damage to the original Bota link), so length wasn't an issue there either.

Thanks for the replies. So it seems at the very least if
I go with Pats I'll need a new top link and longer shaft for my 3pt blower. So heres another question, is the BX 3pt considered class1 or sub-class1?

Whatever it is considered, Category 1 implements fit on it just fine with no modification.

Just note that certain TPH implements are not compatible with Pats nor some other quick hitch setups -- for example, the OEM Kubota BX ballast box. On the BX box, there is insufficient clearance above the pins.

My OEM BX ballast box fits with pats, did they change the design of the ballast box for them to not fit?

I purchased a WOODS quick hitch at my Kubota dealer and in the year that I have had it installed it is Wonderful. All i had to do is install the adapters or just plaon Cat 2 pins facing out on my implements. Then just raise the handles, back in and lift up the implement, then drop the handles, ALL FROM THE SEAT. A second plus is that the arms no longer flop around as they are always hooked to the Quick Hitch. I have no rear PTO implements, but it spaces the hookup about 4 in out, compared to just the arms. Sizing is the unit for Cat 1, then the hookup from the quick hitch is Cat 2 spacing and pin sizes. Did I mention how wonderful it is to just backup and grab the Box Blade, or 4ft disc without having to get off of the SEAT!
