3 point lift arms not working on Ford 5000- please help

i replaced the pto cluthes on my ford 5000. i had to remove the hydraulic pump to do this, i put the pump back in place. the pto is now working but the lift arms are not working? Do i have to bleed the pump? or what else could be wrong? if i have to bleed it how do i do it?

Providing the pump has plenty of oil and is reasonable condition it should pick up OK, I assume the pump would submerged in oil on the 5000 as it
was on the Fordsons. Did you have to lift the linkage off to replace the PTO clutches.
