3-Point Hitch 3-point hitch

Hi,

I recently purchased a used JD x495 and am interested in aquiring a 3-point hitch for it. The local TSC store has an assortment of parts for a category 1 hitch. I'm just wondering if anyone here has successfully built a hitch from the parts available at TSC or another store. It seems like something that might be easy to screw up and I might be better off paying $515 at the dealer for it.

Welcome to TBN!

While TSC does indead have some of the external parts for a 3PH, they will not have any internal parts that you will need. Have you ever looked at JDPARTS to see exactly how they do it? Also, I belive the 3PH on the X-series is a CAT-0 hitch, not CAT-1.

i installed one on my x495, took me about an hour, and it works great!
The instructions are really good
