Anyone here on TBN add a 3-point hitch to their current generation x500 series? If so, did you fab it yourself or use something like the Kolpin dirtworks. Interested in photos either way.

mbrun - you don't say anything about what you plan to do, so I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for.

However, I bought this X500 hitch along with the box blade from my JD dealer. Both are for sale, btw, since I recently bought a 4310. (Sorry I don't have a better angle on the hitch itself - if you want more detail I can take a different shot when I get home on Wednesday.)

It's not actually a 3-point hitch, but does give the ability to raise and lower the very heavy box scraper blade. There is a tall handle that can be reached from the seat, allowing you to control the position of the implement.

The picture doesn't convey how sturdy this darn thing is. It's pretty stout.

info on the hydraulic one here. Don't know if it will help. There is a tow behind 3ph for ATV's too. Has wheels on it is another idea for you.
Power integral hitch

Tim640, I already have a powered sleeve hitch, and it works very well. What I am asking is whether anyone here has put a 3-point hitch on their x500 series, perhaps a Cat-0. The quality difference gap between the sleeve hitch accessories and 3-point accessories is quite large. I know the x500 can handle far more than what current sleeve hitch attachments can handle. So again, just curious if anyone here on TBN has installed one.

Tim, how much was the sleeve hitch?

I don't know what you have to base that statement from, but I think your perspective will change sharply when you get your new scut attachments hooked up and in use.

I put a cat one on my 425, so that I may retain my attachments at my next tractor upgrade. It was passable for the York rake, but still pretty limited in dirt engaging I think your best bet would be to pick-up some of the kolpin dirtworks stuff. It looks to be a good value, and adaptable. Keep in mind though, the quads that stuff was designed for are 50hp 4x4...
