3 point hitch lever depth adjustment

I just purchased a JD 5083E and there is nothing to stop the hitch lever from going all the way forward. There is plastic square but no "finger" that the lever can stop against. I spoke to the dealer and after looking at another tractor it appears it is an engineering flaw. Anyone else have this problem?

I use a Yanmar 2310D and it has a wingnut adjustable stop that has enough room to slide the handle around it and it works great. I'm should hear from the dealer this week as another customer had the same issue.
