3 point boom sprayer THANKS!

I spray roundup along the road, ditch sides, fence lines, miss and on the gravel drive a couple times a year. I got a gas powered 15-gallon sprayer with a 50’ hose with wand and a 4’ homemade boom at an action a few years ago. I tow it behind the riding mower just so I don’t have to unhook anything off the bx. 2 or 3 loads are more than enough. It is alittle overkill but I hate pumping them pack sprayers.

Man Schmism, what do you not use a sprayer for that you could?
I've only got 3 or so acres, I spray weeds and goat-heads 2-3 times a year in the horse pasture, spot-spray weeds around the house and driveway 3-4 times a year, weed-be-gone etc on the lawn 4-5 times a year, etc, etc.

I'm in the process of building a sprayer with booms and gun for my 3 pt (getting lots of great ideas from here I might add!) and when it's done, fertilizing with granules is gone as well (TSC has liquid fertilizer.)

I use to have a 15 gal sprayer mounted to my lawn mower and I've spent many an hour driving along waving that hose trying to spray 1.5 acres for goat-head stickers (puncture vine) and I'm sick of it!
A big spray rig is just what the doctor ordered!

Off topic, but what do you guys use to neutralize your sprayers between products? Store bought stuff is more than products you spray.

You mentioned that you had more pictures that showed more detail.
Can you post them as I am in the middle of rebuilding a sprayer and I like your boom assembly. I would like to duplicate what you did.

Beautiful, beautiful work! Stampeder- Unfortunately looks like 7864 has'nt posted in almost 2 years! Picked up some great tips reading through 7864's, and PineRidge's thread. That electrolysis (sp?) is the 'nuts'! Thanks for bringing it to the top! ~"Scotty"
