This story comes from a man who went in 1/2's on a backhoe and so he desired something that would switch readily between two tractors. A 3 point unit seemed like it would be easiest to swap but when it was mounted it was felt there was too much flex for the intended use. To stop the flexing the man did the following:

Starting with two category 1 top links (the short ones), two category 1 pins, two bolts and some nuts/washers:

#1) the bolts were inserted on each side of the hoe into extra holes that were several inches higher up than where hoe attached to the tractor's lift arms.
#2) the pins were attached to the part the tractor which extended up from the axles and was used to support the canopy. YOUR tractor would have a much better spot to mount these pins to.
#3) one top link was used on each side to connect points #1 and #2 and then the top links were expanded until tight.

(The man had previously added the tractor manufacturer's heavy duty top link kit to the tractor. )

A neat solution however, in the case of my tractor which has extendable lower arms, I think I would tighten the added links rather than extend them. It seems to me that this would put less load on the extendable lower arms and on the tractor overall.

I added a John Deere model 8 backhoe to my MF 203 industrial loader. The Backhoe was set up for an old skid steer atachment which I converted to three point Cat 1 on the bottom and then also added a solid support brace from the bottom to the a point just below the top link to carry the weight. Then I added a solid top link support brace as well and further two treaded rods from the top back of the Hoe plate to two points on the FEL frame just about where my feet rest. It is rock solid with no sway in operation.
