Hey all,

Looking for a bit of insight here, maybe some pictures if anyone has some. I'm planning to convert my old MF35 Utility loader to SSQA. Now, I've seen hundreds of pictures, but they're all 4-pin which looks easier.

My loader is 3-pin (single curl/dump cylinder). I've purchased the Titan DIY setup, I'm thinking of using something like a 1X6x5/16 or 3/8" as an upper cross brace for my center cylinder to attach. Then run two braces, one on either side to tie the upper into the lower, kinda like the attached pic. Or should I try to mimic that style altogether?

Any ideas you have will help me figure out how to attack this, whenever I find the time to do so. I've also attached a pic of my bucket, only one I can find right now.

Thanks!

Your plan sounds good, the critical thing will be getting the rollback angle the same or slightly more than it is now.

My SSQA is also three pins:

What does the Titan diy kit have for a frame? Is it just the 2 latch boxes?

edit; I just looked Titan up. If your getting the $189 model or the red "universal" shown on their "quick tach conversion" web page, I would try to end up with something (structurally) like the design of their ssqa for a (rear) 3 point hitch like the one on the right of the same page.

Thanks, I actually need a lot more rollback. At ground level, my bucket is parallel with the ground when curled back all the way. I've been trying to figure out the best way to get more.

Most people seem to extend the lower attachment points, which pushes the cutting edge out/up. When using the upper pin as a pivot that should cause the bucket to roll back more. Should be pretty easy to do while converting to SSQA.

Then just keep the center pin at about the same relative location and that *should* do it. I'll probably put very heavy tack welds on everything, try it out and see if I get what I need out of it before I burn it all in for good.

Rustyiron- I have their $239 DIY kit, it's the latch boxes, two spacer brackets, and the cross piece to tie them together. I'll check out the piece you're referring to.
