3" or 4" wheel spacers for Kioti CK3520 Cab?

Hi all --

I just took delivery of the tractor in the thread title, and I will be putting rear spacers on it. R14 15-19.5 tires with RimGuard juice. No MMM.

I am trying to figure out whether to go with 3" or 4" spacers, and would appreciate your thoughts/suggestions.

The wider you go the more stability the tractor will have......Also the wider you go may put more strain on axles and bearings....

I put 3 inch on my SCUT and it made a lot of difference in its stability... As for strain on axles and bearings.... We will see about the longevity as time goes on....

Acording to my local Kioti dealer wheel spacers will have the potential to void the warranty.

Thank you both for the input. My dealer said they do not install them, essentially because they do not want to be on the hook if something goes wrong and Kioti wouldn't cover any damage. I have an engineering degree, and my back-of-the-envelope calculations and knowledge of safety factors built into most designs suggest that the increased leverage on the axles and bearings, while not minuscule, is not enough to warrant foregoing the stability benefit. So, I'm willing to proceed with the spacers and assume the risk of the (in my view small) potential increase in risk of damage.

My Kubota dealer will install 2" rear spacers with no issues. He said they have never had a problem with 2" and he's seen spacers as in the 4-6" range without problems.
Not sure about what other manufactures and what their warranty might be.

I just put 2" front and 3" rear Bro-tech spacers on my MX5200. Big stability increase. Incredibly good machine fit and finish on these hub-centric spacers plus they come with all new bolts and nuts. I recommend them.
I wouldn't go any wider than 3". That's actually a lot more than it sounds like and my fenders will be useless in water and mud.

I made 4" spacers out of 1/4" plate steel and 8" dia. steel pipe. Reason for that width was that my compact 25 hp tractor tread width just fit inside the swath of my 5' rotary cutter. Living on a hill with gulleys and all, I would go to wider if I could.
