Hi Bill, Thanks for fixing the rod so fast for me. It looks great and I cant wait to get the 1980 Ford 1200 \ Yanmar backhoe back together.

The Seal sets I got from you for my front bucket pistons worked great. No leaks anymore!!!!! :):)

You guys cheat. We do them all on an engine lathe. Was that IHCP or just chrome plated stock? We use IHCP here.

This one was 1045CP

We have both, depends on the application.....and never put in less than OEM.......

We have 3 engine lathes but this one gets the cream jobs....it'll take up to 3 1/8" thru the headstock....the engine lathes are used for "eyeball" stuff and polishing/grinding....

I would guess a CNC is in the not too distant future for us. We don't do a lot of cylinders anymore, but make a ton of bolts for shovels and draglines. Gets pretty old threading when you get an order for 50+, 2" or 3" dia. bolts, threads on both ends. You get pretty quick at it, but not like a CNC. They would have to teach this old dog a new trick. But I guess programing is really easy now days. I'm sure we would find lots of jobs we could do on it if we had one.

Kim,

These things are more affordable than you think.....and with the conversational programming it's a huge help......

You don't have to babysit every pass and the end results are excellent....You saw how quick it goes and I'll bet you've experienced it for real .....

I used to have a full time employee working with me before just keeping up with the easier stuff and I can bust out more work than the two of us....

There is a steep learning curve that must be crammed down your throat but with manual lathe experience it's not so bad.....Did you notice the tool-changer..??
