#6 "yup" for the Advantech
It's funny how things sort of reverse, couldn't stand the old OSB when it started showing up on the jobs years ago being used to plywood. Todays plywood seems like wavy horrible junk now, esp for roof & wall sheathing.

No tongue and groove sub flooring that I'm aware of is going to give you 4x8 once slid together. That measurement is for the outer edge of the sheet including the tongue. Once you slide it together, it will be half an inch short, which adds up with every sheet.

Most floor joists are on 24 inch centers. Going with 19.2 inches will give you a lot more strength with minimal expense. But if it's a small cabin, 16 inches is even better. 19.2 is marked on every steel tape with a red diamond for framing.

As mentioned, Advantech is the best sub flooring out there. It's the same price as the plywood, which makes it a no brainer.

I'll confess I did 3/4" plywood downstairs and 3/4" advantech Last year while I was building and the advantech feels a little bit stiffer even with 16" oc 2x12's. I also had some rain on both before I could get it framed up and the advantech looks better!

Another vote for Advantec. We put 5/8" Advantec down on the roof of our house, the joints were all taped with their 6" wide tape (VERY sticky), house sat like that for weeks in spring rains with zero issues. No swelling, no leaking, no problems. Standing seam metal roof was laid over it.

Another Advantec vote from me. It is the stuff for a subfloor.

What matters is the 96" dimension because the short edge is going to be nailed to the joists. The tongue and groove edge is unsupported between joists, the tongue and groove is to spread the load to keep it from bending unevenly under your foot when you step with all your weight on one piece. So it doesn't matter if that dimension is 48" or 47" or 49".

The 19.2 spacing is an obsolete method. Furthermore, it does not work with a half sheet.
