2x4 drop in lite- fluorescents. Is LED best replacement?

Replace the lamps in a troffer fixture and you are 1/2 way toward replacing with a troffer LED insert. I have the Lowes surface mount LEDs in my garage and they are great. Only way to go. I have replace 955 of the lamps in the house with LED.

Hey Ron, I will assume a fat finger got in the way? 95% is probably a whole lot less to replace than 955! I thought with your move, you were down sizing?

Mark, Yes, it is 95%. Down sizing has its own set of problems. Due to the hot RE market we wound up buying something that although in town still needs my type TLC. The garage only had one incandescent fixture in the middle. So, there are now 8 4' LEDs. My wife calls it the Florida room. Spent last summer on extensive rebuilding of the landscaping and will again this summer to complete the project. I am glad now that the tractor did not sell. The lot is 1/3 AC.

I will probably never stop till I drop. Just installed the last of the Oak cabinet install in the office yesterday.

Sorry, just had to poke a little fun at you. Yeah, I’m happy to hear your are still getting seat time!

Found some LED bulbs at Lowes. Installed them in my 4 ft fixtures. They aren't any brighter than the T 8 bulbs that were in the fixtures. They just use a little less watts
