2X20 VS 3032 and 3038

I looked at the 3032e and the 2520 and bought the 2520. Size was one of the primary reasons. I have a small barn area that the 3032e would not fit in. The fold-able ROPS and the narrower width of the 2520 made more sense for me. I did consider the issue of the backhoe but will probably never by one.

Other than that, the 3032e would have been an excellent option.

I bought a 3038e for exactly all the reasons mentioned above:
> I want loader as primary tool to stay on tractor
> I don't want an MMM - have garden tractor for mowing around obstacles
> I can't afford a backhoe anyway
> I use 3pt attachments

I'm in the south 'burbs of Chicago, and I just blasted clear through 5' deep snowdrifts with the loader bucket down just above the ground and I couldn't be happier. Sure, a 3320 with a heated cab would be better, but it costs a whole lot more than what I should spend. The 3038e has already paid for itself by doing landscaping jobs I didn't have to hire a contractor for, and I still have the machine.

Sometimes I do wish I had a smaller machine though because the 3038e is too big to get back between trees in densely wooded areas, but it's great for moving dirt around in the open.
