Just bought a tc35d... and have been cruising this forum for lots of answers to questions I have. I can't find one for the following....

Can any one tell me what the switch on the right hand side of the seat does?
It is located beside what I believe to be the cruise control.

This switch rocks two ways and appears to effect the speed when moving forwards or back a bit. It also seems to be the only way I can get my 4x4 to engage??? (figured that was all controled by the lever on the left)
Not sure what the problem is
hope someone can help

Do you have SuperSteer?

I believe you are referring to the "Turtle-Rabbit" switch that gives two ranges for each of the Hydraulic Transmission ranges to the left of the driver's seat (I - N - II), giving you four "gears" for the tractor:

Low (I) - Turtle
Low (I) - Rabbit
High (II) - Turtle
High (II) - Rabbit

You will get higher top end speed with the higher settings, but decreasing torque. Try running along at a constant speed and toggle the "Turtle-Rabbit" switch and you will see speed increases in the Rabbit setting. There are pushbuttons on NH FEL Joysticks that do the same thing, but the switch you're seeing is used if there isn't a FEL on the tractor. This switch does not do anything with 4wd.

If your 4wd won't engage, check the silver metal hook on the floor under your left hip pocket. If this lever is down it will lock out 4wd - up it will allow 4wd engagement.
