Just wanted to drop a line and say "THANKS!" to Dave for this tip.
I read this some time ago, but never had a problem until today on my 3510.
Had a group of actual mechanics with me when looking at the problem (they were reading the manuals, looking over the machine, etc).
Should've seen their faces when I said, "Give me a 7/8 in wrench" and spun the relief spring out, squeezed it by hand a few times, released a little pressure with the valve to force out any dirt that may be in there and put it back together. And it worked!

Look on their faces when fixing this problem within a 5 min search on TBN and using one wrench... PRICELESS

PS- Regardless of anything else, I am just glad it wasn't something major.
