I got a 273 hayliner with broken needles. I have replaced them but need to know how to thread the twine and also how to adjust or time it. Also to see if anything is bent. Im a total noobie so any help is great

probubly not timeing but a broken sheer pin on the knoter. turn flywheel by hand to line things up . run twine through needles and tie off to something down there and turn star wheel to trip knotter. they will thread themselves in the knoter. turn by hand until you know everything is allright or you will end up wekding the needles again.

Thanks. As i was putting in new needles i realized the needle yoke is bent. Ill have to replace also. Do u know if it is a common thing between balers (interchangable) or is it 273 specific. Im trying to get from a salvage yard but its a long weekend here.Hopefully nothing else is damaged. Free balers cost more than buying. Ha ha.
