The very first thing (work wise) I did with tractor was go next door to two female neighbors where I pulled 6-7 Hemlocks out of ground with my 2001 F350 back in summer. The stumps still remained close to the hole in the ground, I had attempted to move them into the woods by hand but decided this was stupid since I was getting something tractor wise by fall.......so, Today I used the forks to easily lift the stumps and drive them into the woods and dump them.

Attached are pics of the tractor relocating stacks of wood that was partially blocking the driveway to the barn where she lives. Nothing exciting to look at....but dang is that a rush to be able to do chores so fast (I'm not even gonna comment about how fun it might be :D)

Congrats on the new machine. You're going to love those forks more every day. I use mine a lot more than I ever thought.

It's amazing how your perspective changes when you have a tractor. Before, it was "Hmm, how will I move that 500 lb rock?". Now, I just hang the forks on the loader and the biggest problem is deciding exactly where I want to put the rock.

Yeah, funny how it makes you want to go work just so you can have some quality seat time.

Funny how adaptable they are to so many different tasks. They are quite handy for cleaning/working under a lawn tractor.

If that means your lifting your smaller mower for service, please by all means take measures (high lift jack/loading blocks/etc) to protect yourself should the loader drop for any reason.
Congrats on your new toy/tool, and thanks for sharing pics an experiences and for defending my right to freely warn you about safety..... in english

I do place blocking under the forks. You are correct about safety...I have learned that the type of person who says "That happens to other people..etc" will in time be intimate with another phrase..."I us to think that only happened to others"!

Feel free to offer advice anytime, I am certain that Murphy has me (any of us) in his cross-hairs every chance he can find.

And thank you sir, does make you wonder where we are headed sometimes!?

You got a load right there.

You will use your tractor in ways you have never thought of.

First thing I did was pull out a rock we had been driving around with the riding mower to avoid hitting and bending a blade.
Rock pulled out and hole filled ready for seed in an hour. And it was fun.

By hand would have taken two days and that would have entailed digging a hole beside the rock and rolling it into that hole (provided ya didn't find an even bigger one there) ( lots of rocks here) .

Dunno how many times I've wished I had bought this 2520 many years earlier.

Well, the good news is.....you didn't wait a year longer than you did

Had to say that 'cause I'm startin' to feel your logic.
