2720 Hydraulic High pressure line blow out

High pressure line blow out at the bend where it meets the connector under the seat. I have never seen one of these lines fail before. Seems to be a split in a weld if in fact this is a sheet metal that was rolled and electronically welded. Problem is JD sold out of these parts just when mine was ordered, They said they had 3 in stock but when the dealer called to find out why they had not received my order, they said they had sold all three and mine was back ordered. Is anyone else seeing this problem??

This machine is brand new, with almost 30 hours on it!! I am more than upset at the moment with John Deere.

WOW, this is the first I have heard of this...I assume it's the same part used for the 2520 and they have been around quite a while!

Yes , this would be the same high pressure line used on the 2520 as they are the same machine other than engine HP. My problem is, When am I going to get it replaced?? this could take months!!

Dealer can't jury rig it somehow? I don't know what I would do if my tractor was out to lunch this time of year. Boy I hope I did not jinx myself here.

How about taking it to a hyd repair shop that makes tubing assy's, it's not rocket science.....even if it's a temp repair, it'll give the dealer time to furnish one new one under warranty when new ones arrive......

This how all hyd fluid line tubing as manufactured......it starts out as sheet metal strips and formed/welded in a continuous tube mill......sometimes the problem is the wall thickness is too thin and fractures under bending/forming/pressure/strain/twisting.....

Whenever I make hyd tubing assy's I try to use heavier wall thickness than OEM for durability/corrosion......

I don't know what kind of fittings are on that tractor. But you should be able to come up with something in soft line ( 4 wire hose ). Their is a good hydraulic place in NJ that custom makes hard steel line. The name is American Hose and Hydraulic Paterson NJ 1800 252 3225, maybe you could send them you old one and they could make you a new one.

Alot of JD tubing is braze-on banjo fittings and FFORX, which is doable reusing the banjo end.......a new tube still should be used as the defect is generally either the tubing itself or right at the tube/fitting connection.....

Pretty standard procedure for a competent hyd shop......
