I am looking at buying a 2710. Can owners of 2710's tell me how they like their tractors? How much land do you use it on? What overall and features do you like about the 2710? What do you dislike?

I drove a 2710 the other day and the engine vibrations at 2600rpm could be felt quite strongly through the deck and pedals, is this normal?

Wayne, I bought one of the early B2710s in '99 and sold it last year when we were selling the little farm. I had the LA401 FEL, 5' box blade, 5' rotary cutter, 5' rear finish mower, a 40" tiller, middle buster, cultivator plow, forklift forks I modified to go on the FEL bucket, two chain hooks on the bucket, a steel canopy to which I added one front and one rear worklight, two tiltmeters, and a rear view mirror. I also put a hydraulic top 'n tilt on it myself. It was a fine little machine and there really wasn't anything to dislike except the lack of an air-conditioned cab. The position of the steering wheel suited me just fine, but the tilt wheel on the B2910 might be nice, the telescoping lower links of the B2910 would have also been an improvement, and I think the B2910 has a little better suspension in the seat, although I really never had any complaints with the seat I had. The tractor was easy to service and gave me no problems, but it only had 400+ hours on it when I sold it.

And no, I did not feel any noticeable vibration through the deck and pedals; I'd want that checked if I were you.

can't tell u much about the 2710 but my b2400 @ 2600 rpm has none of the vibrations u noticed. did u have an implement on at the time u had it @2600? without an implement to use that power u might have noticed some undo vibes, just a thought. 2600 rpm for a tractor doing no work might cause that.

Mine's been great. It is everything I could ask for in a small tractor. I like it so well I named it and just built a 25x36 foot shop to keep it warm and dry. Shop cost twice what the tractor cost. I just wish I had more attachments.

Vibration is relative, I notice some vibration, but it's normal and you get use to it. It also reminds me that it's running.

I test drove a 2710 recently and did notice a fair amount of vibration in the pedals and deck, I think that is normal for that tractor. The new 30 series has rubber mountings for the deck to reduce the vibes.

Hi,

I spent about 5 or 6 hours on my B2910 today. Backhoe and loader work...I guess there may be some vibration...I just figure a tractor is supposed to vibrate some...I really did not notice it.

The B2910 is a pretty nice tractor for my needs...just under four acres here...

I normally only run full rpm when mowing. I don't recall anything abnormal vibration wise when mowing last year.

The vibration you mention is one of the reasons why I purchased my L3010 at the time over the 27-2910.. The 27-2910 4 cyl diesel I thought would be smoother than a 3 cyl 3010 but wasn't. You could feel the vibration thru the floorboard at higher engine speeds. Over all I believe the B27-2910 and B7800's to be fine tractors.

I was just running my B2910 the other day and don't recall any vibrations. Maybe there was something out of line or knocked off. I am not sure. I find mine to be like riding in a car. Except for heat and A/C.

My 2710 has no noticeable vibration at PTO or any other speed. I suspect the ones that do have something touching something it shouldn't.

Mine is a '99 model I bought new, now with about 430 hours. Other than a power steering issue that Kubota fixed, I have had no trouble at all with the tractor, and it remains exactly the tractor I need. It has plenty of power, and is extremely reliable. A great machine.
