On 2/16/02, I purchased a year 2000 model B2710 with a 402 fel, and the 4690 Backhoe attachment, 4x4, power steering, foldable rops, ag tires, grill guard, hst. I listed these, because I'm not sure of the standard equip. The machine is in nice shape. 195 hours on the meter. I paid $16,000 for this set up from a private owner. Any feed back on the price would be appreciated. I plan to use this for a new house we are building in SW Penna. dig footers, utility trenches extra. Is this a good machine for this application.

You do have a nice all around compact tractor on your hands, and the work you have plan for the BK shouldn't be much of a problem, also the price seems fair.
How deep are the footing you plan on digging.

Once I remove approx. 4ft. of the corner of the hill. the footprint of the house should be about level, then for Pittsburgh area, the frost line is 36". most of the utility trenches will be approx. 4' deep.

i think u got a very good buy, without the bh it would have been a good buy. the backhoe makes it that much better. u should be able to do all u need to, just go slow and easy, and if u run into something u can't handel, hire that part out. welcome to the forum. keeps us updated and post pictures of your progress.
