2655 or 2655 ?

2655 or 2665 ?

I知 about to pull the trigger on a trade for a new Mahindra 2655 or 2665. I currently have a 5555 and like it but I want to have a cab for fact I have terrible allergies and the heat in the summers here are pretty tuff at times. So I was wondering what you guys think about is it worth the extra $4k to a$5k difference to go ahead and get the 2665 over the 2655? I know pretty much the little differences between them is: 10 more hp (only 5 more on pto), 700lbs heavier, (my 5555 is heavier than the 2665 even with the cab) a bigger rear axel and the 2665 has a draft control. I probably would not pay the extra just for the little hp difference but after driving both the 2665 runs a lot smoother engine wise. Also the rear wheels (on the 2665) are made so I can reverse the hub to make it wider thus giving me more stability on my hilly terrain (very important since my 5555 has a good wide stance. I don稚 understand why the 2655 doesn稚. I just don稚 want to have regrets after the fact cause most likely this will be my last tractor trade. I went from a 4010 to the 5555 and now the last trade.

The 2655 and 2655 both have the same engine so not sure why one seems to run smoother. Both are 3 cylinder turbo diesels. The HP difference is set by the computer, physically the engines are the same.

The stance on the 2655 can be widened by adding wheel spacers as I did to gain clearance for my tire chains.

It sounds like your decision will come down to preference though. I'd suggest spending more time in each one and possibly requesting to demo one at your property once you are close to deciding.

Just a quick note on cab/AC tractors...that extra 5 to 10HP will be used for the AC in the cab...suggest get the biggest/baddest you can afford...ultimately you'll probably wish you had more...
