Please help folks. I have a 2615 that I love very much. Looking to upgrade its choir dutie:drool:s I just came across a model 48 Deere digger for it and wondering what's your folks opinions. I know the subframe won't work but I'm a fabricator by trade so this really doesn't concern me. I can easily make a new subframe to mount it. I would like to know where mahindra connects there subframes I'm thinking of going from the front loader mounts to the rear. My main concern is will this hoe be to much for the 2615 and should I consider running a PTO driven pump instead of using rear remotes from a power beyond block? Thanks so Pleaded Dan.S :confused2:

What is the digging depth specs on the 48 backhoe? The Mahindra 3710 backhoe has a 7.5' depth.
Mahindra mounted the rear of the subframe to the drawbar bracket, but they used a replacement drawbar bracket that had more bolts attaching it to the rear end.

From the info I can find it looks to have a 8' digging depth but I cannot find the wieght of the model 48 digger. If some one could please take a pic of the rear subframe mount that would be so helpful. Thanks again folks for any knowledge or help you can provide me .Dan.S

Another dumb ? from me ,I dont curentley have Rear remotes ,Could I just plumb a line from the loader valve p/b port to power the hoe,Then run a return line from the hoe back to the transmission ? The rear remote kit is way high in price and I really dont plan on powering anything else other than the backhoe.

Thanks Dan.S

Basicly yes, but you would have to run 3 lines to the back of the tractor. One from the loader valve power beyond, one return line to the reservoir (trans.), and one to the in port of the 3PH. When the backhoe is not on the tractor, the PB line would double back to the in port of the 3PH.

Thanks so much for your help. But the third line you described looses me? Where would I run this line? I know you said from the 3pt hitch so when the backhoe is not on it will loop. I'm not hydraulic intelligent at all could you please give me a road map of where I would plumb this line. And I'm sure you already have I'm just not following .like the old saying your pitching I'm just not catching. I'm not even sure where I would plumb into my 3pt thank you so much for your help.Dan.Steward

Dan,
Your PB port presently goes to feed or power the 3PH, so if you unhook it to power the backhoe, your 3PH will be disabled. That is OK as your 3PH isn't used when the backhoe is on. When you take the backhoe off, you would loop it back to the line that used to be attached to the PB port. It just dawned on me that the 2615 has that hyd block on the side of the tractor, and I will take a look at that today, to make sure that I am sending you down the correct road. It may be this evening before I get back to you.

Galen Thanks so much for taking the time to help. Could I possibly put a Tee fitting on the PB port? Reason I ask is the cradle design for the backhoe utilizes the 3pt arms to lift the backhoe into the carriage. Once in place the 3pt is no longer in use or bearing any weight but I was planning on having power to the 3pt to aid installing and removing the backhoe.
Thanks again Dan.Steward.

I was correct about how to plumb it, and no putting in a T won't work on a open center hydraulic system. As far as disabling the 3PH, I think it would be much easier to connect the backhoe hydraulics and use them to guide the backhoe into the mounting purch. All of the subframe backhoes I have ever seen do it this way.

Again thank you for your time ,I think I understand now ,I cant use a Tee due to this would allow the pressure to bypass circut.so if I just follow everything back from the P/B port I should be fine. But if I understand right I can Tee into my return for the the fluid to return to transmission?

Thanks
Dan.S
