2615 Tiller?

I am looking to buy a tiller, most likely a KingKutterII for my 2615. I am just not sure which one to get, the 4' or the 5'? My tractor is just under 5' wide, and the 4' tiller claims 20-35HP to run and the 5' claims 25-40HP to run. Does anyone out there have either one of these behind a 2615 and if so, how does it work? So far my box, rake and brush hog are all 5', but this is a little different story. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is your 2615 gear or hydro?
My 2810HST with 22+ hp at the pto runs my 60" First Choice tiller easily in New England soil with fist sized rocks. Larger rocks get removed with my backhoe.
It looks like the 2615 gear has 23 pto hp vs. 21 on the hydro.
I would consider the 60" tiller.

I recently purchased a King Kutter II 5' tiller. I've only used it once to till up my dad's garden spot, but it worked great. Two passes and it was fluffy and smooth. If you're tilling previously worked ground (like Dad's garden spot), I think the 5' is good behind the 2615 (mine's the gear model, not hydro). If I were tilling new ground or sod, I'd probably set it very shallow for the first pass and then deeper for the second pass.

Wow, I guess I was just going on tractor HP instead of PTO HP like I'm probably supposed to eh? I have the gear drive. My hope is they (KingKutter) protects themselves by running the classifications a little on the heavy side meaning, it doesn't really take all that HP to run the ones they claim......kinda like speeds on off ramps or weight ratings on ladders

I think a 5' Tiller would be fine on a 2615. The King Kutter tillers are some of the best bang for the buck you'll find. We can't keep them in stock, we'll order a load and before the truck even gets here they're all sold.

I run a 4 foot KK tiller on my gear drive 2015 with no problem. I have 17.5 PTO horsepower. Only thing is... ... I kinda wish I had a live PTO, so I don't have to "hit the ground running!!!"

I have the 4' KK II on my 7205 Cub (2015 Mahindra) and it really works well. I just tilled over an acre of sod that has not been touched for 25 years and it will do it in two passes if you go slow. Tractor shows no sign of strain. I think it is important to keep the PTO around 540 though. I might have been able to do the 5' model but I'm happy with the 4'. Those really are a good tiller. Really heavy duty. The specs hold up to the best. I was told to check the side gearbox cover plate for tightness now and then. TSC had a 15% sale on those last July and I got it delivered for under $1000. One of my better equipment purchases so far......

Definately some great feedback on this site. I am real glad I stumbled onto it. This will make my decision easy. It's great to be able to ask people who know from experience so as to not make a "bad" purchase. Thanks to all who have replied!

I ended up with the 5' KKII from TSC here in Howell Michigan for $1195 on sale. Thanks for all of the responses which in fact made the decision for me on which one to purchase. I was definately worried that my tractor might not handle the 5'er until posting here, but now I am confident that I won't have any problems, unless self inflicted
