2016 Mahindra 2565 Cab Review

Never seen this model in person but this link seems to indicate it's a push pull for 2WD and 4WD. A closeup of the plate next to the lever would also help if you have access.

The 4wd is a push pull lever behind the range shifter, you can just see it. This is the only photo I have, not my tractor.

I think it may be a knob to lock the differential which will drive both rear tires so they receive equal power. Mine is a foot petal that has the be held down constantly.

It could also be one of the 2-3 switches/levers that have to be activated to get the pto to function.

The 2555 and 65 only have on switch to operate the PTO. Not 3 like the 38. But its on the dash. Id still like to know what this lever is for. my 2555 has a plate where this lever is.

I ran across some TYM stuff when I was looking to buy my 2555. I think some of the TYM's have their mid-PTO control in that area. My 2555 has a pull-up [ similar to the 4X4 ] located just rear of the 4X4. I was not aware that the 2565 had a mid-PTO option, though.

The TYM version of this T654 does have different rear PTO speeds 540/750/1000. I found a better pic of it on Big Red's Tractors web site. IMG_0645.JPG

Also, some TYM's that do not have a hyd actuated PTO have a manual control in that area. There is a similar unused spot on both sides of my Mahindra 255 w/hyd PTO control.

I think you are right on this. The label next to the lever appears to be labeled different. I can't see what is on the Mahindra one, but you can clearly see that it is much different than the TYM one.
