Hello! I am a new member and I am looking for a little help. I had another post a few weeks ago and didn't get any responses. I purchased a 72" mid mower for my JD 2520 compact tractor and would like to use the independent lift for it so I can use my JD Hydralic Dump MCS on the 3 point hitch. The difference in weight between the 62D and the 72 is about 30lbs.

Also have been thinking about getting the diverter valve so I won't have to disconnect the independent lift HYD lines when I need to use my loader while the deck is on. Another thought was to get the rear HYD kit so I can power the MCS lift and possibly connecting the deck lift hydralics there also without having to run the HYD line up to the loader connectors.

Has anyone done this or will it require some fabrication? I have seen some pretty awesome fabication by you guys so any input would be appreciated.

Thanks guys look forward to hearing form you!

I have the 72" deck and love it. I do not have the independent lift. My thought is the diverter is a good option to separate the deck and loader. To have hydraulics in the back you either put the independent lift circuits there or get the power beyond kit and install a separate valve for the rear.

Thanks for the reply PCABE5. I am looking forward to mowing with it. I have a 455 with a 60" MM and it cuts like a dream and the 72" looks very similar. Do the independent rear circuits have a shut off like the diverter so you can have the loader and the mid mower on at the same time? I did see a guy with a 2520 from this forum that did the power beyond with the control valves (Really cool) which would be a way of running both the independent lift and the hydralic MCS while having the loader on. I don't plan on using the loader alot with the mower on just to put wood mulch on my flower beds and short jobs like that.
Does anyone have a bagger for their 2520? And if so can you keep a bagger suspended high enough on the 3 point hitch while using the mechanical (3 PT) lift with the mower down?
And one last request could someone with a 62D MM measure the distance between the 2 rear connection points on the mower deck so I can compare them to the 72". My dealer doesn't have one on his lot for me to measure right now. This will give me a good idea if the independent lift will work will little or no modification.
Thank you very much for your time!
