2520 Dual SCV linkage loose

My SCV control for the FEL was loose when I took it to the dealer a while back. I did not notice, but it was the first thing the service manager mentioned. They said they would fix it. I got it back and it sure seemed better. But, lately it got loose again.

So, I looked around in the linkage area for any adjustments and it seemed like there was a lot of play in the linkages. After fooling around with it for a few minutes, it seemed to be not so loose like before. I was busy, so I went on with my work for a while. But, during a break, I took some more time to look at it. Then, I accidentally almost pulled out the whole SCV linkage assembly with very little effort! It was almost like it fell out. That was when I realized that there should be some sort of screw holding it in place but there was not one there.

So, Does anyone know of a size/length of screw/washer that holds the SCV assembly in place and if it is something I can pick up at the local hardware store, or is it something that I need to get from the Dealer? It would be a screw that attaches from behind (when looking forward). It looks like I may need a long socket wrench to reach it. I would attach a picture, but it is too dark.

Skidoo , I am sure there must be screws holding it on somewhere.
you can bet there going to be metric. I know what your saying.
all the linkage on the joystick is just pins with cotter keys in them.
no real adjustment. that is the one thing about the 2520 i dont like.
I too feel there is to much play in the joystick...
the linkage needs bushing in them. let us know what you find.

I talked to the dealer and he faxed the parts breakdown. Turns out to be an M6 lock washer and an M6x16mm cap screw that should be there.

Well, I got the screw and washer from the dealer. I put it in and tightened it down. The screw and washer pulled right out along with the assembly. So, I got a flat fender washer and placed it in front of the lock washer. This seems to be holding.
