I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2520 based on my "needs" (translation - "wants" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) and some eavesdropping here. My concern is with the attachments. The total width of the machine is 52.6", yet the snow blower for it is 47". I don't need to blow close to walls or buildings, but expect I will be tramping down snow all the time. Any owners had an issue with this?

Also, I will be getting the CX200 loader, but am wondering about which bucket, the 53" or the 61". It will mostly be used for dirt work. Please share your thoughts and experiences.

FYI the plan is also to get an 62mmm, LX5 and BH46 in the package. All comment welcome!

Always enjoy the discussions.....

No idea on the snow blower we had a walk behind when I was a kid but that's not my problem anymore, down here they just don't make that funny white stuff. I would guess that 47" actually refers to the cutting width though and that it scoops in from a wider area.

As for the bucket I have the 53" and think it was a good choice for my needs. The larger bucket might be nice for snow removal though. The fixed tine pallet(brush) forks have been one of the more useful items I purchased.

You won't be sorry on your choice. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I just purchased a 2520 also, and am awaiting delivery. I live in NW NJ (no jokes...life here is humorous enough /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif), and we receive between 2 and 10 feet of snow annually, usually of the heavier packing type. I've used my 54" hydraulic blade on my JD without trouble for 12 years, in storms that have dropped up to 30"+, on my 6,000 sq ft plus of drive and parking which is half paved asphault, half dirt. The 47" wide blower (2 stage), would be nice on the asphault, but would too easily pickup sticks and stones on the unpaved portions. Changing back and forth during a storm seems too bothersome for me, and I like the ability of the blade to push drifts back as far as I need. I am sticking with the 54'' blade on the 2520, and looking forward to 4wd.
I selected the 61" bucket on the 200cx, so that the bucket width would easily cover the tire track while landscaping. The JD toothbar is added for additional bite when digging.
The 46 hoe has a 13" bucket, which should perform well in my mostly rocky soil.
I ordered the high output alternator, and coolant heater for cold weather starting. R-4's because my use will be mostly chores and landscaping.
Enjoy shopping! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The 53" would probably be a good choice if dirt work is your primary task. I went with the 61" since I'll be using mine for the winter white stuff...

Btw... after about 13 hours on mine I'm finding the 62" deck is a very good match for my lawn...
54" Box Blade is a great match as well...

Good luck & enjoy your new machine... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Shawk, pass on some basics on the box blade. I'm thinking of adding one to the list...looking at a frontier 60". How many points are needed? Is 60" too large? Would a movable tailgate be useful? tnx /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
