I am considering upgrading to a 2720 from my 2210. One of the reasons is that I want more pto power and I don't want to bust the pto like many have on their 2210,2305 tractors. Outwardly the tranny/pto design of the 2520,2720 tractors doesn't look much different than their little brother. Does anyone have info on this? I have not read about anyone shredding the pto on these tractors.

I have an 08 2520 and use the rear PTO all of the time. I run a 6' KK finish mower all summer on 5 acres here where I live. I also run a 5' brush-hog to maintain 8.5 acres of property I own up North. Absolutely no issues in my 3 seasons now of constant use.

Simply compare the tractor specs line for line, engine Hp and PTO Hp.
the PTO Hp will be about 85% of the engine Hp.
