Thanks for the replies to my earlier post. After reading them and all the others, I think it is definitely a 2500 for me.
What is the difference between the 05 and 06 besides the metal hood and the seat? Which is better?
Now I have a dealer who has a 2005 2550 for sale he wants the same price as the 2006. Shouldn't there be a discount for the 2005? He said the 05 has 2 yr same as cash. TGhanks in advance for all replies.

Not sure, but I think the '06 might turn tighter also. The 2 year financing is available on the '06 too. I'm not sure why you'd want the older model unless the price is reduced substantially...

This is atleast the second instance of this I've seen posted. That's rediculous, but anything is possible for an in demand unit in the peak selling season. Besides the hood, the 2006's have:
1) Different steering (probably cheaper)
2) Different lower dash and steering shaft support (cheaper)
3) Small front tires on the new 2542 (cheaper)
4) Different exhaust and exhaust pipe outlet position (good).
5) Wide open to the flywheel air inlet prone to easier plugging with debris (easier to clean the flywheel screen, but it will plug faster without the primary screens).
6) Better engine oil drain location.(huge plus IMHO)
7) Better headlamp wiring. (big plus)

Hope this helps!
