Howdy folks,
I got tired of turning the top link with the little "bent" handle that came new.

Here is a pic of my easier turning handle, I can sit in the driver's seat and just turn and give it a few flips one way or the other.( after reducing tension)

I like it, I like it.

Now if I could figure out a way to put a crank handle on top of the adjustable arm ( like my old Satoh S650G) then I could make both adjustments from seat.

Any suggestions?

i have thought about turning a sidelink from an old ford 3pt hitch into a toplink, the crank adjustment would be nice, seems that with a bit of welding and maybe some machining it could be done easily. you can buy replacement sidelinks for the old fords pretty reasonable from aftermarket places

If you are thinking about that, I've got an even better idea for you.

A while back, I broke the adjustable side link on my yanmar 1700.

I searched around and found a sidelink at a MF dealer with clevis's on both ends. I mearly hacked one off and welded on the correct upper lift link ball end.

You should be able to do the same with the toplink ends.. cheaper than buting an old ford one... As I recall, this sidelink I bought was el-cheapo.. like 19 bucks.... had a fairly decent hand crank with a bail to hold it too.
(fit my ym1700 great )
