The following weights are out of my LX4 manual and are without safety shields.
LX4 = 415
LX5 = 490
LX6 = 653
If correct, the LX4 and 5 are pretty close.

Couldn't you compensate for the heavier weight of a 5 footer with additional weight in the front? Either leave the FEL on or some weights.

that is what i was thinking as well, but the dealer did not recommend it.. I think Efreets post reinforces his reasoning..

I certainly agree, actually as much as these cost it makes sense to rent one of each and see how they handle. I was just asking if weight in the front could improve the tractors handling since there would be so much weight in the back.
