Re: 2305 vs 05\' 2210 used. Help choose one?

Hi JD2210... perfect timing this morning /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif . I just hopped in here as well. Remember that my price posted was an "out the door" price with taxes, ect included. So he appears to be within going price. I appreciate the heads up on the oil as well. I will check that out. I was told it had been serviced 3 times at 100 hour intervals (probably because of the higher usage??). No mention of the 50 hour. Shouldn't be a big deal??

Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

JEH,

One last thing, you should go over the the operating page and see my post on the 200CX vs 210. As for shopping, enjoy the moment.

If you want to ask any detailed questions, please feel free to email me on the side.

Will do, thank you! I'll go out and check the oil later today. If it turns out to be red, could it have actually been very harmful to the machine? Forgive me, but I'm just trying to gather as much info as possible.

Re: 2305 vs 05\' 2210 used. Help choose one?

The initial service (50-hours) is typically done more to remove shavings from the break in period which in turn can damage components over time. If you ever change the fluid on a 2210 or 2305 yourself at 50-hours you will see excately what I'm referring, because there will me small metal shavings on the filter screen.

"JEH", that's MY initials!!! 2210, 2305, same tractor different engines. If the hours were low on the used one and no scratches I'd go that way. However, 360 hours of loader work would concern me. I have 187 hours on my 2210 after nearly two years. Probably 40 hours or so with loader work, some heavy work, some snow work. I would say 360 hours of straight loader work is pretty tough work for the little guy, lots of strain on the drivetrain.

buy the 2305!!!! I just traded 2210 in on the 2305 many up grades the u joints last about 500 to 800 hours because cant get at them to grease it quite a job to change .on the 2305 no problem just remove snap ring knock out the roll pin and it dropes in your hands the 2305 also has a lower cover for the fan. by far the 2305 is a easy tractor to work on.puting fuel in ---has a tray below the fill cap to drain off to the side so if you over fill it doesnt run all over the engine.

Since the last post was four years ago, I'm guessing the OP already made his decision.
