I'm wanting to put a snowblower on my Deere 2305. With the JD 54" blower being close to 4k once you get the mount and hydraulic swivel, what other brands/models would fit my tractor? Just thinking I could find a used one.

I live in Northern Michigan and regularly get 3 ft drifts in our driveway

Hard to suggest anything but the Deere, as anything less will just be... less.

Wish you well tho..

If you are willing to back up, you can find a variety of quality 3 point snowblowers for about half the cost of the JD front mount. The catch is, you have to back up. I have a 5 foot rear mount on my 2320. I would suggest staying down to 48" or 54" on your 2305.

Thanks for the replies. I actually do have a 3pt blower already, I'm just getting prices around for possibly getting a front blower. I don't mind backing up, I may end up getting a Curtis cab or some other kind of cab for the winter instead of a blower

I have the Original Tractor Cab soft cab for my 2320. It makes the rear blower survivable and is less than $1000. Quality item and relatively easy to take off for the summer. If you want one, look into it now. They get in short supply in the fall.

I prefer the blade on the front.. over a blower. Quick, and very little to no cleanup when putting it away.
But each have their own likes.. ;)

The sale person at JD suggested I look into WRLong stuff for a snow plow to go on front where the FEL bucket attaches. He said their stuff is less expensive. Maybe they have snow blowers, too.

A friend of mine with a Kubota has been using a rear snow blower on back of his tractor for years.

Nice thing about the blower vs blade is the blower will throw snow far away from the road. Thus, if you have to handle a lot of snow no worries about where to put it. I remember some winters when I used a blade in upstate New York I had to have the neighbor come over with his dozer to widen the snow bank along my long driveway. Not a problem with a snow blower.

I haven't seen those yet, thanks. Do the windows ever get foggy or frosted over? What would be ideal, is to get one of those and get an aftermarket heater like Curtis cabs sells.

As far as a plow vs blower, we get too much snow and drifts to not have a blower

That is when I use the wing plow. :D
Don't need it often, and it is quick to attach but it widens the 1/4 mile drive in a couple passes.
