My company's 2305 has developed a hydraulic whine. It has about 500 hours on it. The hydraulic oil, filters and screen were changed/cleaned about 50 hours (of use) ago.
The unit does not have an FEL, nor any rear implements used. Just a 3 blade belly mower deck. The deck doesn't seem to raise very much. I'm thinking I can use the adjustment hangers to raise it some more. The hydraulic cylinder does not seem to fully move up or down. Anyway, the operator noticed a whining noise getting worse and brought it to me to diagnose. I put my mechanic stethoscope on the selective control valve and there is a matching whining noise coming from it. Has anyone rebuilt one of these? It looks like some simple parts. Do you have to take off the ROPS and the Green fender/seat to get at it?
The deck is raised by the selective control operators joystick. There is only 1 hydraulic line plugged into 1 of the 4 ports. It does seem to raise erratically (dropping and raising) if you slowly move the joystick from center.
Just wondering if anyone else has seen any of these symptoms.
Thanks.
