Good morning,

I have done a lot of lurking, reading and love this site first off... I am in the process of buy a 2305, looked at the 2520, but just to big for the current property.

At any rate, I 100% am going to put a small add on grapple to the bucket of the 2305 when I pick it up.. My question is which way is better to go for the hydraulics.

My options seem to be 12vdc valve, with button on the joystick.. or adding the power beyond kit, then my own spool valve and a line to the front..

Like the idea of having the button on the joystick, but also like the idea to have the extra lines in the back for the future.

Anyone know the prices for going either way?

I see JimGerken said he did his own power beyond for about 40 bucks, plus lines and valves, my guess is a couple hundred.. Any idea what the 12vdc valve and lines go for? (done rambling)

Thanks

I added a rear remote to my 2305, I connected it to where you would connect the power beyond kit. it was pretty easy. I have no opinion on which way is better, but can give you onther option, JD sells a manual diverter kit that is ment to be used with the MMM indepentdent lift. it adds two quick conects next to where the loader connects.

Yeah trying to figure out which is going to take the least out of my wallet and leave me some room for expansion in the future..

That diverter is 400 bucks I think..

I think my rear remote cost about $175ish, I bought a 1 spool valve from surplus center, two fittings and a plug from JD, two hoses purchased locally, I made a mount for the valve that conected to where the toplink supporter is bolted... there was a thread with the directions to the powerbeyond... a month or so ago.

I added the WR Long diverter to my 2320 and I would recommend it.

Depending on your abilities you can order all the parts and build it yourself, but the WR Long kit comes with everything you will need. Call and speak with Nelson at WR Long.

I personally like the electric diverter option (NOT the JD one for the MMM) for the smaller JD's. It saves from having to run long lines under the tractor from the rear to the front. The WR Long kit is great if you want to buy a package deal that includes all the parts, but you can build yor own fit for about $300 if your crafty.

Yeah trying to weigh the price vs easy of use... I know the electric diverter is the way to go but, like the price of the power beyond and can see it being used for a dump trailer or something else down the road..

I guess i'll start fab on the grapple and keep kicking these idea's around.. Thanks for all the info!
