Having the MMM on while doing any real FEL work could prove to be a very costly mistake. There is very little ground clearance while the deck is on, and getting it hung up on something and bending the linkage could be very easy.
I agree with you 100% kennyd. I got the 53" because the difference in price is hardly nothing. Good luck.

If you find the box blade is a little light for ballast, you can also add some suitcase weights to the boxblade too. I carry four 42 lb weights on my 5 foot box blade all the time and it makes a good counter weight, even with a bucket full of gravel.

Prater;
I've had my 2305 for two weeks with a 53" bucket, a ballast box filled with bags of pond stone and this thing is on steroids......!!! Go 53" and don't look back. JIM

jim, looks like it will get the job done...do you have anymore pics of the unit w/ the loader attached? i would like to see what it will look like w/ the 53" bucket...have you moved any dirt w/ it yet? looks like it does pretty good w/ the mulch.

I've a 53" FEL on my 4010. It's almost identical weight to the 2305 and less hp. I've hauled tons of gravel, mulch and dirt in it. Best ballast on the 3ph is my carryall with sides on it and filled 1/2 to 3/4 with about the same material as I'll be putting into the FEL. Otherwise, my 400# brush hog works pretty well as ballast but presents a lot of extension out the back to watch out for.

DO NOT use high range with the FEL. Go slow with it filled. Helps when filling it, too. The curl, etc. actions with the loader are subtle ones. You don't want a lot of forward speed while doing them.

What's your hurry? Want to die young?

I have the 53" bucket on my 2305 and moved about 3 tons of gravel and 9 yards of top soil this morning. ballast the rear and have fun! these little tractors don't know the meaning of the word quit!

Buy the 53" and have fun trying to stop this beast! Just remeber to follow the manuals specs for proper ballast!

BTW, the MMM is SOOO easy to remove, why risk possible damage while diggin?

Have FUN & Keep it upright!

i ordered the 53" bucket w/ the fel...i will probably use the 48" bb for ballast to see how it handles it...i can always add some weight to the bb if i need...does anyone have any pics of this size fel loader attached to the unit.
