2305 and mower hight adj. knob

Am trying to install the mower on the 2305, I cannot get the knob to move, stuck in the lock position, is there something I am missing? Thanks Fred

you have to have lift arms or ind lift raised to highest setting before you can turn the knob.

will try again, that is the same as the 3 pt hitch lever, correct, I did raise it all the way. but the knob would not turn.

Prerequisites to posting a question like this (or any questions, really):

1- Know what equipment configuration you have, in this case mechanical lift or independent.
2- Read your manuals

assuming the mower is NOT on the tractor yet, the 3 point lift all the way up, you are trying to drop the mower arms, you have the spacer installed between the rear lift arms; answer is there is something wrong.

assuming the mower IS mounted and you have the spacer bar installed in the rear lift, you raised rear lift fully; knob is stuck, I had this issue when my 2210 was new, had to shake the deck by physically to loosen the knob.
