I purchased a 2305 with 62C mmm about a month ago and the cut quality is not good at all! I have tried running it wide open and at 2500 rpm's, slow or fast, there is no difference. I am not cutting a hay field either, in fact it is a newly planted lawn that is not very thick. The areas that are not being cut are where the blades meet or (roughly) where the tire tracks are. The discharge side is slightly worse than the other. In looking at the blades they appear to be fine?? Any idea on what to look for before I complain to the dealer?

Maybe try cutting on an esablished lawn - might be the grass consistency affects the quality of cut. Got any neighbors close?

Maybe check the deck leveling first. I'm pretty happy with the cut on my 62C:

The only problem I have is the cut between blades when turning. If the grass is very thick and heavy it will skip a little. Going over it straight works very well. I have always had the same problem with every 3 blade deck I have ever used.

Check front to back leveling, that is important too. I'll admit I ditched the OEM blades for Gator blades early on, but that was only because I've had so much good experience with Gators.

We just worked on a 62C that had cut quality problems and found one blade mounted upside down. I own a 62C and found the cut quality to be excellent especially when I installed a set of Gators.

When I bought my Gators, they were the same price as OEM blades and that was 16.50 each.

In 2004 I bought the Gator Magnum Blades from my dealer, P/N 91-471 for $16.28 each.
